Long Response

I think Texas has truly turned purple because of the culture of Texas changing into a more diverse state making Texas not as red as it used to be. Also many people are moving into Texas from places like California or Latin America in which most political views of these people are democratic. I think the poll did not include the green party because of the small impact it has on the election and how unlikely it is for Jill to win the presidency. The bigger fight is between Hillary and Trump which was included in the poll. I think the main change is how diversity is changing the demographic and the political views of Texas making the state more democratic. The poll was conducted by the Crosswind Media & Public Relations and Pulse Opinion Research and polled 800 likely Texas voters. I think this poll is accurate because getting the opinions of 800 people will show a trend in the political views of Texas. In the media as well in real life people talk about how close the election this year will be due to the candidates we have to vote for. The biggest concerns with the people polled were the constant coverage of the candidates that changed many peoples minds, the generation gap, and if Texas becomes a democratic state it will never go back. I think that if Texas becomes a democratic state which is a good thing it can still go but can still go back to a red state. The biggest issue I think is the generation gap which is awesome that younger people are changing the opinions they were raised with but the traditions of their parents keep the state red and allowing no change.

Long Response:

The presidential debate between Hilary Clinton and Donald trump was held in Las Vegas in which during the debate both candidates stated there views on a new supreme court justice. Hilary would like to appoint a justice that will listen to the american people and make pro choice rulings. Trump wants a justice who is conservative, supports the second amendment fully, and makes pro life rulings. Supreme Court Justice was such a big topic during the debate because the new president is most likely to appoint this person and could change the evenly divided seating in the court. I think that it would be important to keep the seating even but even towards the democratic side because they would make decisions that apply to all people not just the rich. I agree with Hilary Clinton on these ideas because Trump wants to undo what has been done while Hilary wants to move towards the future. I think this is very important to most people because along with the president many cases and rulings are made from the supreme court which could affect our country as much as the president could.

Earthquake Story

Why- 6.4 on the Richter Scale Earthquake
How-Occured on the Hayward fault which ran under the hills

October 4, a building housing Mchenry's Auto Supply collapsed in the San Fransico Bay Area killing two people and injuring six.
According to Jennifer Vu, a public information officer from the Hayward Fire Department, 3 out of 6 injured were seriously hurt and were hospitalized after the events of the earthquake.
"Names of the dead are being withheld pending notifications of families,"Vu said.
She later added that no other serious injuries were reported.
Hayward fire fighters stabilized the building and conducted a search in which they found a gas leak in which they capped the line after the collapse.
"Twenty-one fire personnel, 12 police and five American Red Cross workers responded to the building collapse, with some arriving within four minutes of the quake," Vu said.
The earthquake struck at 8:12 a.m. when Mike Beamer a resident in the apartment across the street felt rolling for 30 seconds and then a large jolt.
“I was eating my breakfast when the room started rolling. I dove under the table just as I heard an explosion outside and a chunk of cement flew through my kitchen window. That’s when the screaming start across the street,”Beamer said.
The collapse was due to a 6.4 (on the richter's scale) earthquake that occurred along the Hayward fault under the hills. According to Penny Gertz, a scientist from the U.S. Geological Survey in Menlo Park the earthquake was a big one.
"People as far south as Los Angeles and as far north as Redding felt the quake," Gertz said.
McHenry's Auto Supply was located at 2342 Plum St. and has not responded into reopening.

I don't have a legitimate fear of clowns but they do creep me out. If one were to act in a suspicious way I would definitely be scared. I think that the clown crisis is something everyone should be freaking out about because it is mainly something spread by social media but I think people should be aware of there surroundings. I think people are making a bigger deal out of this then it needs to be plus they are very easy to identify and get away. I do feel safe on the Bowie campus because there is many police officers and staff but it could be easy for a clown to sneak into the school due to the mass student body here. I think that the student that was arrested should be charged as an adult because they were old enough to be aware of the circumstances and are able to be responsible for there actions. I think internet hoaxes are something that should be taken seriously because if it potentially puts someone in danger. I also think that the internet is a new space for people to commit crimes because of the impact that it has on our lives.
