Magazines Part II

An Image Based cover is a cover that is based on one subject that relates to the type of magazine that is published. For example the most common form of this cover is one or few people in front of the camera on the cover. An illustration based cover is a cover with an unique illustration. A typed based cover is a cover with different and interesting text. A concept based cover is a hybrid of the other three types of covers. The importance of the balance of words and photos on a cover is to catch the readers eye and to allow the reader to instantly get the concept or main point of the magazine.
