Long response
The corps is involved because it manages the Missouri river and the dams that are owned by the federal government. Trumps executive ordered told the corps to reconsider Darcy decision of opposing the crossing. The project overall will cost 3.8 billion dollars. The Standing Rock Sioux are fighting the pipeline because it could pollute their drinking water and flood at the reservation which is located downstream of the pipeline. The next step for the indian tribe is to protest and battle the pipeline. I do not think that the pipeline should be complete because it could ruin many peoples lives and is a safety precaution to the tribe. It also costs a lot of money in which we must pay out of taxes.
